Treatment and symptoms of Calcium 8.3 mg/dL | Diet for low Calcium level 8.3 mg/dL

Calcium 8.3

Low Calcium level of 8.3 can cause a number of symptoms.

An abnormal calcium level of 8.3 may affect muscle function, nerve signaling, and bone strength. At 8.3, individuals may experience symptoms like muscle cramps, numbness, tingling, confusion, or even cardiac irregularities depending on the severity. Calcium plays a vital role in maintaining cellular function, and abnormal levels may point to issues with the parathyroid glands, kidneys, or vitamin D metabolism. Monitoring helps prevent complications related to both skeletal and cardiovascular systems. Several treatments exist, but the priority is to adjust your diet without delay.

What to do after Calcium blood test?

If bleeding occurs after your Calcium test, raise your arm and apply pressure to the spot for at least 3 minutes. It’s normal to see some bruising after a Calcium blood draw. If you feel pain following the Calcium test, apply ice wrapped in a towel to the area for 10 minutes. For anything more than mild discomfort, contact your doctor.
