Treatment and symptoms of Chloride 43 mmol/L | Diet for low Chloride level 43 mmol/L

Chloride 43

Low Chloride level of 43 can cause a number of symptoms.

An abnormal chloride level of 43 may disrupt your body's fluid balance and acid-base regulation. A chloride value of 43 can contribute to symptoms such as fatigue, dehydration, muscle weakness, and confusion. Since chloride works closely with other electrolytes like sodium and potassium, abnormal levels can signal kidney dysfunction, metabolic acidosis or alkalosis, or issues with adrenal gland function. Regular chloride assessments help maintain proper hydration and cellular function. There are many treatment methods available, but the key is changing your diet right away.

What to do after Chloride blood test?

If bleeding occurs after your Chloride test, raise your arm and apply pressure to the spot for at least 3 minutes. It’s normal to see some bruising after a Chloride blood draw. If you feel pain following the Chloride test, apply ice wrapped in a towel to the area for 10 minutes. For anything more than mild discomfort, contact your doctor.
