Treatment and symptoms of MCV 90.4 fL | Diet for normal Mean corpuscular volume level 90.4 fL
Normal MCV level of 90.4 can cause a number of symptoms.
An abnormal MCV (Mean Corpuscular Volume) level of 90.4 may indicate that your red blood cells are either larger or smaller than average, which can reflect underlying blood disorders. A value of 90.4 could be associated with conditions such as anemia, vitamin B12 or folate deficiency, or chronic disease. MCV helps determine the type of anemia a patient may have, whether it’s microcytic, normocytic, or macrocytic. Monitoring MCV is useful in evaluating overall red blood cell health and guiding appropriate treatment. While there are different ways to treat this, altering your diet should be your first move.

What to do after MCV blood test?
If bleeding occurs after your MCV test, raise your arm and apply pressure to the spot for at least 3 minutes. It’s normal to see some bruising after a MCV blood draw. If you feel pain following the MCV test, apply ice wrapped in a towel to the area for 10 minutes. For anything more than mild discomfort, contact your doctor.
