PCV 15

Low PCV level of 15 can cause a number of symptoms.

An abnormal PCV (Packed Cell Volume) level of 15 can indicate a disturbance in the balance of red blood cells in circulation. With a PCV level of 15, symptoms such as fatigue, dizziness, or shortness of breath may arise. Abnormal PCV may reflect dehydration, anemia, or polycythemia and could be a clue to underlying chronic illnesses. It is often evaluated alongside hemoglobin and hematocrit to assess overall blood health. A range of treatments are available, but the key is to start by changing your diet immediately.

What to do after PCV blood test?

If bleeding occurs after your PCV test, raise your arm and apply pressure to the spot for at least 3 minutes. It’s normal to see some bruising after a PCV blood draw. If you feel pain following the PCV test, apply ice wrapped in a towel to the area for 10 minutes. For anything more than mild discomfort, contact your doctor.
