Vitamin D 38

Low Vitamin D level of 38 can cause a number of symptoms.

An abnormal Vitamin D level of 38 can have various implications on bone health, immune system function, and overall well-being. People with a Vitamin D level of 38 may be more prone to fatigue, muscle weakness, frequent infections, and even mood disturbances such as depression. Since Vitamin D is essential for calcium absorption, an abnormal value can lead to bone softening or diseases like rickets and osteoporosis. Ensuring adequate sun exposure and nutritional intake is key to maintaining optimal Vitamin D levels. Many treatments are available, but the priority should be altering your diet now.

What to do after Vitamin D blood test?

If bleeding occurs after your Vitamin D test, raise your arm and apply pressure to the spot for at least 3 minutes. It’s normal to see some bruising after a Vitamin D blood draw. If you feel pain following the Vitamin D test, apply ice wrapped in a towel to the area for 10 minutes. For anything more than mild discomfort, contact your doctor.
