What causes high MCV and low Hematocrit?

High MCV and low Hematocrit can be caused by many reasons.

If your MCV is in between 83 fL and 101 fL and your Hematocrit is in between 40 % and 50 % then you need not worry as these are the normal ranges for MCV and Hematocrit respectively. But if your levels are lesser or greater than the above values, then there may be some problem in your body.

Some examples of conditions that can increase or decrease MCV levels include:
