What causes high MCV and low RDW?

High MCV and low RDW can be caused by many reasons.

If your MCV is in between 83 fL and 101 fL and your RDW is in between 11.6 % and 14 % then you need not worry as these are the normal ranges for MCV and RDW respectively. But if your levels are lesser or greater than the above values, then there may be some problem in your body.

Some examples of conditions that can increase or decrease MCV levels include:
