What causes high VLDL and low GGT?

High VLDL and low GGT can be caused by many reasons.

If your VLDL is in between 5 mg/dL and 30 mg/dL and your GGT is in between 15 U/L and 85 U/L then you need not worry as these are the normal ranges for VLDL and GGT respectively. But if your levels are lesser or greater than the above values, then there may be some problem in your body.

Some examples of conditions that can increase or decrease VLDL levels include:

• Chronic kidney disease
• Taking certain drugs such as corticosteroids
• Liver disease
