Adrian Wall here, and I recently turned 45 years old. I made the decision to have a full blood test this year to make sure everything was in order because I have always placed a high priority on living a healthy and active lifestyle. Regular exercise helped me lose weight and increased my body's sensitivity to insulin, which made it easier for my cells to use glucose.

I understood the need of managing stress levels in addition to food adjustments and exercise. I adopted stress-reduction practises like yoga and meditation because I wanted to find harmony and balance in my daily life. I also gave regular, adequate sleep a high priority after learning how sleep deprivation might impair glucose metabolism.

My doctor gave me medication to assist control my blood sugar levels to help me in my efforts. I was initially reluctant to rely on medication because I favoured a more all-encompassing strategy. My doctor reassured me, nevertheless, that taking medication would help stabilise my levels while I made the necessary lifestyle modifications. I've started living sustainably, which involves getting regular exercise, eating a healthy diet, and keeping an eye on my blood sugar levels. I've developed the ability to pay attention to my body's signals and identify when things isn't quite right.

High fasting blood sugar levels have served as a wake-up call for me, reminding me of the importance of proactive health management and self-care. I've learned perseverance, discipline, and the value of education from it. Despite the difficult path, I am glad for this experience because it has given me the power to take charge of my health and make long-lasting beneficial changes.
