Dion Dunlap here, and I'd want to talk about my experience with being diagnosed with high haemoglobin levels while still in school. I was taken off guard by the surprising news, which forced me to deal with unforeseen health issues. I was able to go through this and recover control of my health via tenacity and pro-active tactics. By sharing my experience, I hope to motivate other young people going through a similar situation and give them the inspiration they need to take responsibility for their own well-being.

My doctor informed me that I had an elevated haemoglobin level, 17.3, during a routine checkup. This information concerned me much as a student since I had always thought that people with high haemoglobin levels were either athletes or people who lived at high altitudes. The news that I was dealing with this diagnosis came as a shock.

I was initially overcome with perplexity and terror. I wondered what this meant for my health and why it was occurring to me. My doctor stated that factors including smoking, dehydration, living at high elevations, and specific medical disorders can all have an impact on high haemoglobin levels. It became crucial to treating my condition and regaining control over my health that I understood the fundamental causes.

I conducted in-depth research to familiarise myself with haemoglobin and its implications for general wellbeing in order to meet this challenge head-on. This information served as my starting point for making healthy lifestyle modifications. First and foremost, I decided to stop smoking after realising how bad it was for my haemoglobin levels and general health.

Hydration suddenly became a top priority for me. I made a conscious effort to drink more water to stay adequately hydrated all day. Maintaining blood volume and preventing excessive blood viscosity require good hydration.

Regular exercise became essential to my way of life. Exercises like jogging, swimming, and cycling not only enhanced my cardiovascular health but also boosted blood flow and oxygenation throughout my body. Exercise evolved become a means of controlling stress and preserving general wellbeing.

High haemoglobin levels while still in school created difficulties on an emotional level. However, I found comfort in sharing my troubles with my loved ones and close friends, who offered unfailing support and compassion. They helped me feel less emotionally burdened and gave me the confidence to confront the issues head-on by listening to my worries and fears.

It was crucial to schedule many follow-up visits with my doctor so he could keep track of my development and make sure my haemoglobin levels were gradually dropping. These sessions gave me a chance to discuss any issues I had or questions I had along the way, as well as any necessary revisions to my treatment plan.

I started to see improvements in my general wellbeing over time. My haemoglobin levels were steadily reduced, a sign that my efforts were paying off, thanks to a mix of lifestyle changes, education, and continued medical assistance.
